The "Re-Entry" series represents an exploration into fleeting moments that turn into lasting memory, intertwining reality and imagination. I employ a range of techniques using Chinese traditional ink and watercolor on Xuan paper, canvas, and wood panel, blending contemporary and traditional practices. My creative process involves mounting Xuan paper, peeling layers away, and reapplying them, embodying the cycle of layering and reduction. This practice aligns with my philosophy of detachment, not only through the physical act of peeling away layers of paper, but also as a metaphor for stepping away from the noise and fragmentation of daily life to engage in a deeper dialogue with the self. The act of peeling and layering mirrors the natural ebb and flow of life, where moments are built, erased, and reconstructed, revealing the coexistence of presence and absence. The process of creating this series is a journey that disrupts the linear perception of time, allowing past and future to intersect in the present and transforming the present into something eternal.
